FEAR FACTORY’s Milo Silvestro Talks Joining One of His Favorite Bands: “This Is Beyond Crazy”

Fear Factory vocalist Milo Silvestro opened up about his surreal experience fronting one of his all-time favorite bands. Speaking with the Mike James Rock Show at Bloodstock Open Air, the Italian singer shared his gratitude for the fan support of the new lineup and his deep dive into honoring the band’s legacy.

Currently, Fear Factory are performing their 1995 classic Demanufacture in full. Silvestro revealed how he studied the original stems to replicate every nuance of former vocalist Burton C. Bell’s performances.

“I try to sneak in some bits of my vocal personality, but not too much to change it completely. His vocal sound is iconic — you want to nail that style.”

Reflecting on his journey from local Rome musician to fronting a globally renowned act, Silvestro said:

“This wasn’t even supposed to be a dream. My dreams were maybe having some success with my own bands. Then suddenly — boom — big stages, festivals, interviews. Sometimes it’s like, ‘What’s going on?’ But I love it.”

Guitarist Dino Cazares praised the positive fan reaction to Silvestro and drummer Pete Webber, who joined the touring lineup more than two years ago. Cazares explained how Silvestro stood out from over 300 video submissions during the pandemic, leading to his successful audition.

Looking ahead, FEAR FACTORY plan to release new material soon.

“Next year, for sure. Maybe a single this year, but 100% an album in 2026.”
