Ministry have dropped another politically charged song from what is expected to be their final studio album. The industrial metal veterans have now premiered “We Hate,” the second track to emerge from their forthcoming farewell effort, ‘Hate to Go – Take Out or Delivery’.
The album is scheduled for October 30th, bringing the band’s studio career to a close with another record steeped in the political commentary that has long been a part of their music.
“We Hate” appears to direct its focus toward a particular 80-year-old U.S. president, with the song taking aim at its subject as a “grifter” and “whore” while also addressing the transformation of a democracy into an autocracy.
The new track follows the first preview of ‘Hate to Go – Take Out or Delivery’ as Ministry prepare to close out their recording career.
There had also been considerable attention surrounding the return of former Ministry bassist Paul Barker, who reunited with the band for their final album. However, a press release issued in late July clarified that Barker’s appearance is actually limited to the record’s closing track, “We’re Still Here,” which has yet to be released.
With the final album now on the horizon, Ministry have also begun unveiling dates for what will be their final touring cycle.
