Miss May I have released “Hand Me A Halo,” the third single from their upcoming album ‘No Place For Me.’
The track arrives alongside a new music video that was co-directed by Garrett Drake and Josh Hart, continuing the visual approach established with the band’s previous single, “Sanctuary.”
Solid State Records is scheduled to release ‘No Place For Me’ on October 2nd, marking the band’s eighth studio album.
According to vocalist Levi Benton, “Hand Me A Halo” explores themes of identity loss, self-doubt, and the internal struggles that can accompany major life changes.
Benton explained:
“‘Hand Me A Halo’ tells the self-narrative of losing one’s sense of self and dealing with the intrusive thoughts that come with it.”
The frontman went on to discuss how the song was inspired by personal experiences and periods of uncertainty.
“This song came from our own confusion and loss of identity through the changing seasons of life.”
Benton added that the emotional weight of those struggles ultimately shaped the song’s central message.
“The fear can be constant, leaving you to question if you just want someone to hand you a halo.”
