Reunited post-metal veterans Neurosis have been confirmed for the 2027 edition of the annual ‘Roadburn’ festival, where they will perform two separate sets.
Next year’s festival is scheduled for April 15th-18th in Tilburg, Netherlands. Details on what Neurosis have planned for their two appearances have yet to be revealed.
Guitarist/vocalist Steve Von Till shared his excitement about the band’s return to the festival:
“There are few places in the world that feel like home to our music the way Roadburn does; where we are in the company of kindred spirits who share our endless obsession for emotional, genre defying, independent heavy music. Roadburn is a place where the fourth wall, that imaginary boundary between artists and audience, dissolves as we all become one: a community that gathers together to honor and celebrate the healing power of intense dark music as a way to stay sane in an insane world. Now, as we have re-emerged from the darkness with the album of our lives, we can’t imagine making our return to Europe in any place other than Roadburn.”
The festival appearance will come as Neurosis continue their comeback behind their surprise new album, ‘An Undying Love For A Burning World.’ The record also introduced Aaron Turner (SUMAC, ex-Isis) into the band’s lineup as a new vocalist/guitarist.
The group currently have the following North American dates booked:
- 09/05 Asheville, NC – Hellbender (feat. Acid Bath, Melvins & Kylesa)
- 10/16 San Francisco, CA – The Fillmore
- 10/17 San Francisco, CA – The Fillmore
