Nine Inch Nails appear to be preparing to release a new collaborative project with electronic producer Boys Noize.
The industrial icons have begun teasing an upcoming album titled ‘Nine Inch Noize’, a joint effort with their recent touring partner that is reportedly scheduled to arrive on April 17th. Confirmation surfaced through a billboard spotted in Indio, California promoting the release date, alongside social media posts from the band directing fans toward pre-saves via their official channels.
While an unofficial live recording has recently circulated among fans online, the newly announced project suggests the collaboration is expanding into an official studio-backed release.
The partnership between Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize developed throughout the band’s recently completed ‘Peel It Back Tour’, where the electronic artist frequently joined the group in a hybrid live performance setting. The forthcoming album is widely expected to build upon that shared live experience.
Boys Noize has previously worked with the band’s core duo, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, contributing a remix connected to their score for the film Challengers, further establishing the creative relationship between the artists.
Additional live collaborations are already scheduled, with Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize set to bring the ‘Nine Inch Noize’ performance concept to the Sahara Stage at this year’s ‘Coachella’ festival in Indio, California. Their first appearance is slated for April 11th.
More details regarding the album’s tracklist and full scope are expected to emerge in the coming days.
