No/Más have officially released their cover of Bad Brains’ landmark hardcore anthem “Banned In D.C.” to digital platforms.
The Washington, D.C. grindcore outfit put their own ferocious spin on the influential early ’80s track, which originally appeared on Bad Brains’ self-titled debut and became one of the defining songs of the hardcore punk movement.
The cover is also available physically as an exclusive flexi disc included with the May 2026 issue of Decibel magazine.
Bad Brains famously wrote “Banned In D.C.” after being blacklisted from several local venues due to the chaos surrounding their live shows and the intensity of crowds attending their concerts during the formative years of the D.C. punk and hardcore scene.
For No/Más, the release arrives shortly after the launch of their latest album, No Peace, which landed on March 13th.
Given both bands’ ties to Washington, D.C., the tribute feels especially fitting, bridging generations of aggressive underground music from the same city.
