Northlane have released the video below for their new single “Dante“. The track is from the band’s latest recording sessions they’ve been holding with producer Will Putney. The video was directed by Ed Reiss, and the track features some input from Ray Vavasis of Arrowbird.
The press release for the song stats that the song was originally written by the band’s guitarist Jon Deiley, as a pure dance track and wasn’t originally written for the band. Marcus Bridge, the band’s vocalist, offered the following on the lyrical inspiration:
“‘Dante‘ is a song about losing someone close to us. As we try to process our grief, we are constantly asking ourselves questions, memories clouded with reminders of our loved one’s pain, wondering if there’s anything we could have done.”
