Obey The Kraken Sign With Seek And Strike, Debut New Songs

German deathcore outfit Obey The Kraken has dropped two crushing new singles, “Haunting Echoes Of The Sea” and “Whispers From The Depths”, marking an exciting chapter in their career. The release of these tracks accompanies the announcement of the band’s signing with Seek And Strike Records.

The band’s debut EP under the Seek And Strike banner is slated for an early 2025 release. Speaking about the new material, Obey The Kraken offered:

“We’re incredibly excited about signing with Seek & Strike! We truly feel that Seek & Strike is the right label for us because of its deep understanding and commitment to the death-core scene. Beyond that, we immediately felt a strong personal connection with the team, which made our decision even easier. We’re looking forward to this collaboration and can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together.

Our main mission was to create a project that just hits hard. We didn’t let anyone influence our direction and instead put everything on the EP that we personally love. From high-quality visuals to intense breakdowns, wild vocals, aggressive synths and intricate sound design – it’s all there.

The upcoming EP consists of four songs that tell a connected story about the awakening of Cthulhu and, broadly speaking, the destruction of the world. Song one introduces the background and teases the dangers lurking in the depths of the ocean. Song two is Cthulhu’s summoning by an ancient cult. What happens next in songs three and four remains to be seen.
