Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes Hit By Thrown Phone During St. Louis Concert

Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes was struck by a phone thrown from the crowd during the band’s performance on May 11 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

The incident reportedly occurred several songs into the set during a performance of “Happy Song.” Fan-filmed footage circulating online shows Sykes reacting immediately after being hit, briefly stopping to confront the situation before tossing the phone offstage toward what appeared to be security personnel.

After being struck, Sykes could be heard asking the crowd:

“Who the f*ck threw that?”

Despite the interruption, the vocalist ultimately continued the performance and finished out the concert. However, fans in attendance noted online that Sykes appeared noticeably less interactive with the crowd afterward, scaling back some of the physical engagement he is typically known for during live shows.

As footage of the incident spread across social media, fans quickly responded with a wave of jokes and memes surrounding the situation, with “Bring Me The Verizon” emerging as one of the more widely shared puns.

The incident comes amid the band’s ongoing North American tour alongside Motionless In White, The Plot In You and Amira Elfeky.
