Orgy encountered an audio mishap during their performance at the inaugural Sick New World Texas festival in Fort Worth over the weekend, with fan-filmed footage appearing to capture the band’s click track being played through the venue’s sound system.
The incident marks another notable moment for the platinum-certified industrial rock outfit at the Sick New World festival. During the event’s Las Vegas edition in 2023, Orgy faced criticism over allegations that they relied too heavily on backing tracks during their set.
This time around, footage circulating online appears to show the band’s click track coming through the audience-facing mix for a brief portion of their Texas performance.
Click tracks are commonly used by musicians during live shows to help maintain consistent timing, particularly when performances involve programmed elements or synchronized backing tracks. They are typically delivered directly to performers through in-ear monitors rather than played through the main sound system for the audience.
It remains unclear how long the click track was audible to festival-goers or what caused the apparent mix-up.
