Our Common Collapse have officially joined the roster of Periphery’s 3DOT Recordings, becoming what the label’s founders are calling the heaviest signing in the label’s history.
The announcement was made by Periphery on July 14, with the progressive metal innovators revealing that the band’s new single, “Invertebrate,” will arrive on July 17.
In announcing the signing, the band and label shared their excitement over welcoming Our Common Collapse to the 3DOT family.
“Our 3DOT Recordings label has signed what is our heaviest band to date, Our Common Collapse. Their new single, ‘Invertebrate,’ will be out this Friday, July 17. This will be the band’s first new music in over two years, and we know the fans have been eager for more.”
The label also hinted that “Invertebrate” is only the beginning of a larger rollout planned for the band.
“There is a lot coming from this band in the months ahead, so stay tuned.”
The upcoming track will mark Our Common Collapse’s first new music since 2024’s “Weeping,” ending a lengthy silence from the group and potentially signaling the start of a new chapter under the 3DOT Recordings banner.
Founded by members of Periphery, 3DOT Recordings has steadily expanded its roster in recent years, but the label’s description of Our Common Collapse as its heaviest act to date is likely to raise expectations among fans of aggressive modern metal.
With “Invertebrate” set to arrive later this week and promises of more news to come, the signing represents a significant milestone for both the band and the label.
Fans can pre-save “Invertebrate” now ahead of its July 17 release.
