Paleface Swiss leaned into the comparisons they’ve drawn to Slipknot over the years during a Halloween performance in Germany, taking the stage dressed as members of the masked metal band before launching into a three-song cover medley.
The Swiss deathcore outfit pulled off the tribute during their October 31 appearance at Core Fest in Göppingen, Germany. Opening their set with a run of Slipknot material, the group performed portions of “(sic),” “People = Shit,” and “Psychosocial” while sporting costumes inspired by the Iowa band’s members.
Fan-filmed footage of the Halloween performance has since surfaced online, capturing the band’s take on the three tracks.
The “People = Shit” cover wasn’t entirely new territory for Paleface Swiss, either. The group had already incorporated the Slipknot song into select live sets earlier this fall, making the Halloween appearance an opportunity to expand on that tribute with additional material and a full band costume theme.
Footage from the performance can be watched below.
