Persefone have released an orchestral live performance video for their track “One Word”, uploaded today, December 3rd, just two days ahead of the release of their upcoming live album, Live In Andorra.
The progressive death metal band teamed with the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra for the elaborate performance, which took place at the National Auditorium in Ordino, Andorra in May 2024. The forthcoming live album captures this unique set, blending Persefone’s intense metal sound with orchestral grandeur.
Reflecting on the performance of “One Word,” the band shared:
“In every show, there are different moments, but nothing compares to the thrill of the intro that leads to the very beginning. You can feel the energy on stage; you can see the people eager to release their enthusiasm after waiting for the first sonic explosion. For this particular show, the song that was chosen to ignite the whole experience had to be ‘One Word’. It’s one of the last songs we wrote, yet one of our favorites to play live. It’s direct, it’s powerful, and it connects with both the band and the audience in a heartbeat. Hopefully, you can also feel that connection by enjoying this single.”
The video offers fans a glimpse into the dynamic fusion of orchestral elements and Persefone’s progressive death metal sound, making Live In Andorra a highly anticipated release for December 5th.
