PINCER+ Set Debut Album for December, Premiere “Blue Light Overdose” Music Video

Australian metalcore band Pincer+ have announced their debut album, Who Are You When No One’s Around, is set for release on December 12th via Greyscale Records and 1126 Records. Alongside the announcement, the band premiered a music video for their new single, “Blue Light Overdose.”

The band shared insight into the track:

“‘[Blue Light Overdose] was written from a place of hate and utter disdain for those who continue to take, while providing no real benefit to anyone. It’s definitely one of the more aggressive and to-the-point songs on the album, and the closest in sound to our older material.”

Directed by Josh Ang, the video captures the intensity of the song’s message. The band further explained the concept behind the album:

“It’s about losing control, pulling yourself apart, and trying to figure out who you are. We found the title felt like a way to tie it all together – it’s a question for us as much as anyone else, about facing the parts of yourself that only show up when no one’s watching.”

Last month, Pincer+ returned with “Hard 2 Kill”, introducing new members vocalist Jaiden Higgon and bassist Israyan Shah, signaling a fresh era for the band.
