PRESIDENT Singer’s Identity Possibly Revealed by Familiar Bracelets

UK-based alternative metal newcomers PRESIDENT continue to fuel speculation about their masked frontman — and following their live debut at Download Festival on June 15th, fans may finally have their clearest clue yet.

While the identity of the band’s vocalist has remained officially unconfirmed, longtime rumors have pointed toward Charlie Simpson (Fightstar, Busted) as the voice behind the mic. That theory got a fresh boost over the weekend during PRESIDENT’s so-called ‘rally’ set at Castle Donington, where eagle-eyed fans took notice of some oddly familiar accessories.

Most notably, fans pointed out that the masked singer was wearing two bracelets that Simpson himself has been photographed wearing in the past — a detail that hasn’t gone unnoticed by Simpson’s devoted following. Some attendees even claimed to have spotted members of Simpson’s family sidestage during the set.

Adding more fuel to the fire, the video for the band’s track “Fearless” features a moment of unmasking — one that many say strongly hints at Simpson’s identity, even if not definitively revealing it.

The band have been generating buzz since launching, thanks in part to their cryptic aesthetic and managerial ties to Sleep Token, another UK act that thrives on mystery and atmosphere. Much like Sleep Token’s rise, PRESIDENT have taken an unconventional path, leaning into theatrics, symbolism, and anonymity to stoke curiosity and conversation.

Their next confirmed appearance will take place July 30th at The Garage in London, UK, where they’ll be joined by synth rock duo Zetra.

As of now, PRESIDENT have yet to formally address the rumors.
