Fan-filmed footage of PRESIDENT’s debut live performance has made its way online. The masked outfit took the stage for their first-ever set — referred to by the group as a “rally” — this past Sunday, June 15th at the Download Festival in Castle Donington, UK.
The mysterious collective delivered a five-song set, which included the live premieres of three previously unreleased tracks: “Dionysus”, “Rage”, and “Destroy Me”. Also featured in the set were their two officially released singles, “Fearless” and “In The Name Of The Father”.
PRESIDENT’s cryptic rollout and stylized presentation — which many have compared to that of fellow UK alternative metal breakout act Sleep Token — has sparked growing intrigue. That comparison may be more than surface-deep, as the two acts reportedly share the same management team.
Speculation continues to swirl around the identity of PRESIDENT’s vocalist. Many fans believe it to be Charlie Simpson of Fightstar/Busted fame, though the band has publicly denied those claims. For now, the masks stay on — and the mystery continues.
