Nü-metal veterans Primer 55 have announced they will no longer be joining Ill Niño and (hed)p.e. for their planned South American tour this April and May. Ill Niño will be celebrating 25 years of their debut album, Revolution Revolución during the trek.
In a statement shared on January 4, the reunited Primer 55 cited unforeseen circumstances as the reason for the cancellation.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control Primer 55 will not be able to join our friends in Ill Niño and Hed for the upcoming South American shows this summer. We apologize and hope to see you all soon.”

The band clarified that the decision was not related to promoters or the other bands and that they plan to use the time instead to focus on writing and recording new music — their first in nearly 20 years.
