Japanese/Korean mathcore and metalcore outfit Prompts have officially released their new EP, ‘Parasite Dream’, through Papercut Recordings.
The EP arrived on June 19th and features a guest appearance from The Plot In You frontman Landon Tewers, who lends his vocals to the track “Stranger.” The release marks the latest chapter for the internationally assembled band, who continue to blend mathcore chaos with modern metalcore influences.
‘Parasite Dream’ also serves as one of the more notable releases yet for Papercut Recordings, the label launched last summer by Brand Of Sacrifice guitarist Michael Leo Valeri and Fit For A King bassist/vocalist Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary.
Valeri is also known as the founder of Shibori Threads, while O’Leary additionally operates through Beacon Management, making the label another extension of the pair’s growing involvement behind the scenes in heavy music.
With the arrival of ‘Parasite Dream’, Prompts continue to expand their reach outside Asia while adding another high-profile collaboration to their catalog through Tewers’ appearance on “Stranger.”
