Run For Cover Records have joined the growing ‘No Music For Genocide’ campaign, announcing on October 8th that they’ve issued a label-wide digital takedown of their catalog in Israel. The move is part of a broader cultural boycott protesting what the organization describes as “the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.”
In a statement, the label said:
“Run For Cover Records is participating in @nomusicforgenocide, a cultural boycott of Israel in protest of the country’s ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. We have submitted a label-wide digital takedown specifically in the territory of Israel.”
The label’s roster features numerous artists, including AFI, Angel Du$t, Basement, Fury, Narrow Head, One Step Closer, Pelican, Portrayal Of Guilt, Rival Schools, and Turnover.
Run For Cover’s announcement came on the same day U.S. President Donald Trump revealed that Israel and Hamas had reached a tentative peace agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
According to NoMusicForGenocide.org, more than 1,000 artists have now joined the initiative — among them Paramore, Amyl And The Sniffers, Enter Shikari, Lorde, and Show Me The Body.
