Saosin have officially earned a major career milestone, with their self-titled 2006 debut album being certified Gold in the United States for the first time.
The certification was awarded on May 5, 2026, marking a long-awaited achievement for the Californian post-hardcore group as their debut record continues to see sustained consumption nearly two decades after its release.
This also represents the band’s second Gold certification overall, following the earlier success of the album’s third single, “You’re Not Alone,” which reached Gold status from the RIAA back in May 2023.
The timing of the milestone is especially notable, as Saosin recently released their first new material in over a decade, adding renewed attention to their catalog and legacy.
Gold and Platinum certifications in the United States are determined by the RIAA, with Gold representing 500,000 units and Platinum representing 1,000,000 units. These totals include a combination of physical sales, digital downloads, and streaming equivalents, with 150 on-demand streams equaling one unit and 10 track downloads counting as one album unit.
