Saosin have officially kicked off a new chapter, unveiling their long-awaited comeback single “Starting Over Again” along with an accompanying music video.
The California post-hardcore outfit’s latest track marks their first new material in over ten years and arrives via their new label home, Sumerian Records. The release also continues the band’s refreshed era following the return of vocalist Cove Reber in 2024. His previous full-length with the group, ‘In Search Of Solid Ground’, dropped back in 2009.
“Starting Over Again” doesn’t just signal Reber’s full-circle comeback—it also serves as the band’s first recorded output alongside guitarist Phil Sgrosso, who joined the lineup in 2016. The newly released video was directed by Christopher Sims.
Reflecting on the meaning behind the track, the band shared:
“‘Starting Over Again’ is our first new music in over a decade, and it came from the fans calling for it and us realizing the timing finally felt right. The chemistry in this lineup is undeniable, and everything just clicked. This song is exactly what the title says. A reset, but with more clarity, more urgency, and way more fire behind it. It feels like the start of something big for us, not a throwback, but a step forward.”
With renewed chemistry and a revitalized lineup, Saosin are clearly aiming ahead—positioning this release as the beginning of something new rather than a revisit of the past.
