Shadows Fall are officially back in the studio to wrap up work on their long-anticipated eighth studio album. The Massachusetts metalcore legends have reunited with producer Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed) to finish the follow-up to 2012’s Fire From The Sky.
The band has already shared two tracks from the record so far — “In The Grey” and “Souls Devoured” — offering fans a taste of their modern resurgence. Drummer Jason Bittner went live on Instagram this morning (August 4th) to answer fan questions and provide an update:
“We’re gonna get this record finished hopefully sometime this frickin’ year. We’re starting the back half of the album today. We’ve tracked five songs so far. You guys have heard two of them that we’ve released… Today, we’re gonna start the last five.”
As for when fans can expect the full record? According to Bittner, it’ll be ready “when it’s done.”
