The ultimate holiday showdown has arrived as Insane Clown Posse and GWAR faced off in a brutal new episode of ‘Hot Ones Versus’. While the Scumdogs and the Wicked Clowns traded verbal barbs and survived the wrath of “The Last Dab” hot sauce, the real headline came when Shaggy 2 Dope finally addressed his infamous 2018 attempt to dropkick Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst.
The incident, which saw Shaggy hauled off by security after a massive whiff on stage, has been the subject of nu-metal lore for years. Now, Shaggy is setting the record straight on what was going through his head—and it turns out, it was all a “work” gone wrong.
A Wrestling “Work” Gone Wrong
When asked about the motive behind the attack, Shaggy didn’t blame a deep-seated beef. Instead, he blamed the booze and a misunderstanding of “wrestling logic.”
“Well, alcohol was involved. That was done as a work — a wrestling work dropkick — I wasn’t actually trying to dropkick him for real. I don’t know why in my drunk brain, I just figured that he was also a wrestler and he’d know to ‘sell’ the move.”
Unfortunately for the ICP star, Durst wasn’t in on the script.
“He didn’t sell it… How he sold it was their security came out and choked me out onstage and dragged me out. I’ve apologized a million times over since. I feel like a dumbass of course for doing that shit.”
Scumdogs vs. Juggalos: The Holiday Showdown
The rest of the Hot Ones Versus episode featured Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope going head-to-head with GWAR’s Blöthar the Berserker and Balsac The Jaws Of Death. The stakes were simple: answer the question or suffer the sauce.
Beyond the Limp Bizkit drama, the episode touched on:
- The Gathering of the Juggalos: Who ICP would never invite back (sorry, Andrew W.K.).
- GWAR’s Chaos: The intergalactic warriors’ take on the current state of the “human” music scene.
- The Wings: Both bands struggled to maintain their masks—and their dignity—under the heat of the world’s spiciest wings.
