Seether’s May 29th performance at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, OK took an unexpected detour when frontman Shaun Morgan called out venue security over the removal of his 7-year-old daughter from the stage during the set.
Given the casino setting, the venue enforces a strict 21+ policy—something that seemingly extended beyond the gaming floor and bar area last night, leading to a heated moment in front of a packed crowd.
According to fan accounts and footage, Morgan’s daughter was standing side-stage with credentials when she was removed by a member of the venue staff. While not in a public area of the casino, the underage policy apparently extended to the stage itself. The decision didn’t sit well with Morgan, who stopped the show and tore into security before launching into a particularly scathing version of “Remedy”.
Morgan addressed the crowd, saying:
“Hey, sorry that took a little while. I had my fucking kid on the side of the stage the whole, entire show. And then suddenly, this fucking asshole kicks her the fuck off the stage, she’s seven-years old. And, now she can’t even go to in the front of fucking house and watch the show? Man, fuck you. What the fuck is wrong with you? It’s a fucking child, and you just kicked her off the fucking stage her dad’s playing. I hope your dick is super fucking huge, bro. Oh well, I’ll finish this song for you guys – fuck this place!”
He then launched into a profanity-laced take on “Remedy”, modifying the lyrics to directly reflect the situation:
“Blah, blah-blady-blah, some fucking rules that kick the kids out
Doing no fucking harm, just watching Daddy play a rock show
I’m a little man, with a tiny dick, and I have control”
Fan-filmed footage of the incident and the altered performance has since surfaced online (watch below).
The controversy came just days after the band celebrated the 20th anniversary of their platinum-selling 2005 album Karma and Effect, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and featured their enduring radio hit, “Remedy”. Seether also dropped their latest full-length The Surface Seems So Far via Fantasy Records last fall, led by the single “The Judas Mind”.
Since forming in 1999, Seether—comprised of Morgan, Dale Stewart, John Humphrey, and Corey Lowery—has remained a staple of post-grunge and alt-metal, with a career spanning three platinum records, over 22 No. 1 singles, and more than two billion global streams. Billboard ranks them as the No. 8 Mainstream Rock Artist of all time. Their 2023 album Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum further solidified their legacy, delivering hits like “Dangerous”, “Bruised and Bloodied”, and “Wasteland”.

The Mosh Network I was at the show at Hard Rock in Tulsa. As a true fan of Seether..he had the right to be pissed. His daughter was there off stage the entire show. It was literally right at the end of the concert. I’m glad he put that small dick security officer in his place and ended up changing the lyrics to Remedy. I hope they will continue to play in Tulsa, Ok. Fuck Casino and come back and play at Caines!(again) love you guys!🤘

Charles if you attended the show you would know his wife was there too. And it was 1 bad security guy. The venue knew she was on tour with us, and allowed her side stage all day and for soundcheck. And yes she had our AAA pass, she wasn’t the only person removed, all “non working” people were removed 2nd to last song, including drummers family.
This wasn’t an issue at other casinos. (All of which knew she was with us) she just wasn’t allowed on casino floor.

Everyone had All Access tour laminates. 1 guy made a mistake. And yet he was “doing his job” everyone else that was 21 older was removed too. There’s just a small piece to the bigger picture.

If she had credentials and got in, there was no reason to remove her. Shaun should have been told she can’t come inside. Maybe he was and he trued to work around it, but she had the pass and got inside. She was there for soundcheck and sat in his guitar world the whole show up until the 2nd to last song when 1 security guard removed all “non-working” people from the side stage. Here’s the factual story.
Eric Clark if people actually attended the show, they would know he did a shout out to his wife who was in attendance and did a song she requested, but this is social media, a bunch of mouth breathers who know zero facts and make up their own ideas, they are what’s wrong with people these days.
