Rumors are circulating that the festival will be held on October 24th in Fort Worth, TX.
This update follows recent leaks confirming both the date and location for the Las Vegas edition. According to the press application page, Sick New World 2026 is set to take place April 25th, 2026, returning once again to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, NV.
As of now, no lineup has been officially announced, though it appears highly likely that System Of A Down will headline once again. The band’s frontman, Serj Tankian, reportedly confirmed their involvement during a recent meet and greet earlier this year.
After two successful years in 2023 and 2024, the festival hit a major setback heading into 2025. That year’s planned edition was canceled months in advance due to sluggish ticket sales and an overambitious, high-cost lineup. Reports indicated that both Metallica and Linkin Park had guarantees of around $5 million each, making the financial risk unsustainable without a rapid sellout.

It’s a one day festival. I went to the one in Vegas a couple years back. Prob the most brutal festival I have been to. Temperature was horrible. The whole festival was on concrete. Line up was great. But I would not ever spend 425 for a one day festival ever again. When I can do a 4 day for the same price. Coming to Vegas for it is 5 times more money after hotels and food. So education yourself before coming to Vegas.
