Silly Goose have taken their reputation for unconventional performances to the next level, with frontman Jackson Foster recently crashing a Denny’s corporate conference to make the case for a collaboration with the restaurant chain.
The nü-metal revivalists have apparently set their sights on the diner chain’s iconic Grand Slam breakfast, with Foster using the corporate gathering as an opportunity to pitch a potential partnership between Silly Goose and Denny’s.
Footage from the unexpected appearance has now surfaced, documenting Foster making his case in front of the company’s conference attendees. According to a subsequent update from the frontman, the stunt may have actually opened the door to further discussions, as the band and Denny’s have reportedly maintained communication since the incident.
A collaboration would be another chapter in Silly Goose’s long-running history of guerrilla performances. The band has become known for staging impromptu shows inside fast-food restaurants, while also taking their performances to unconventional locations including gas stations and other public spaces.
They would not be the first heavy band to find themselves associated with Denny’s, either. Live Without previously partnered with the chain for an official merchandise collaboration, while Blink-182 famously brought attention to the restaurant’s connection to the heavy music community with an impromptu performance there in 2023.
For now, fans will have to wait and see whether Foster’s latest stunt results in an official Silly Goose x Denny’s Grand Slam collaboration. In the meantime, the band remains on the road with a series of upcoming shows alongside Cheem, Hotbox and Muttlee.
