Russian deathcore titans Slaughter To Prevail have faced unexpected changes to their upcoming run with Falling In Reverse, Hollywood Undead, and support acts due to travel delays affecting drummer Evgeny Novikov. The band initially announced on August 28th that they would be unable to perform in Cincinnati, Tinley Park, and Noblesville over the weekend.
Their statement read:
“Unfortunately, our drummer has encountered some travel delays, and we won’t be able to join Falling In Reverse for the shows this weekend in Cincinnati, Tinley Park, and Noblesville. We’re really sorry to our fans who were looking forward to seeing us at these shows. We’ll make it up to you, and in the meantime, we hope you all have an amazing time at the shows. We’ll see you soon.”
However, the band reversed course on August 30th, revealing they would perform with backing tracked drums for the remaining shows in Tinley Park, IL and Noblesville, IN, keeping the concerts on schedule while hoping Novikov can return for the Maryland Heights, MO show on September 2nd. In their updated statement, the band said:
“We would be nothing without our fans. Show cancellations are not something we take lightly at all. As we take your feelings seriously and don’t want to let you down, for the remaining two shows, we will perform with backing tracked drums so the concerts can still go ahead. We hope he will rejoin us on Tuesday for the show in Maryland Heights, MO. While this isn’t the way we envisioned it, we hope you’ll join us and that together we can make these nights unforgettable. Thank you for your understanding and for standing with us.”
