    SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL’s Jack Simmons Addresses Nazi Allegations, Admits Past Controversy Was Their “Own Fault”

    Slaughter To Prevail guitarist Jack Simmons has responded to ongoing discussions surrounding the band’s association with Nazi symbolism, denying that the group holds any extremist beliefs but acknowledging that the controversy was the result of “our own fault” and “bad decisions in the past.”

    In a new interview with Ultimate Guitar, Simmons addressed frontman Alex Terrible’s now-covered tattoo of a Black Sun, a symbol that has been co-opted by far-right groups but also holds different historical meanings in Eastern Europe.

    According to the Anti-Defamation League, the Black Sun—also known as sonnenrad—is “one of a number of ancient European symbols appropriated by the Nazis in their attempt to invent an idealised ‘Aryan/Norse’ heritage,” but the organization also notes that its use doesn’t automatically signify extremist ideology.

    Simmons admitted the band’s reputation issues stem from “bad decisions in the past,” saying:

    “It is our own fault. There’s always going to be people we can’t change the minds of, but we’re not out here to push any radical shit. We just want to make music. If you come to our shows, there’s a lot of love—no fights, no hate. We don’t want that energy.”

    He added that cultural context plays a major role in how such symbols are perceived in Russia and Eastern Europe. Simmons referenced his girlfriend’s grandmother, who lives in Ukraine and has carpets decorated with the same symbol, saying:

    “I told her, ‘You know that’s a Nazi symbol, right?’ She laughed and said, ‘Are you calling my grandma a Nazi? She lived under Nazi occupation. To us, it means heritage and family.’”

    Alex Terrible discussed the same tattoo during a September appearance on ‘Downbeat’, explaining that he initially got the Black Sun while associating with “right-wing guys” but covered it up years ago. He said the tattoo represented his interest in esotericism rather than political beliefs, adding that he didn’t fully understand its offensive nature until later.

    Terrible also addressed older photos of himself wearing a hoodie from White Rex, a clothing line linked to far-right activism, and a photo in which he posed with a rifle and an SS helmet—both of which he expressed regret over.

    In addition, Terrible has another tattoo of the Odal rune, a symbol also used by the Nazis but rooted in ancient European history. He has not confirmed whether that tattoo has been covered.

    Despite the controversy, Slaughter To Prevail remain one of the most prominent modern deathcore acts, signed to Sumerian Records. Their latest album, Grizzly, debuted at #16 on the U.S. Billboard Top Current Album Sales chart with first-week sales of 5,905 copies, while also landing at #7 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart and #12 in France earlier this year.

Either way, not Alex fault, more likely its leaders but people can still be happy of their country or what they know of it.         Blinden Clark Obviously a lot of nuances with everything, for the most part, from what I’ve looked into the protests were about reducing migration, the rate was originally increased in 2004 so the Liberal government could say they increased GDP a massive amount (Primarily through Coles and Woolworths sales) which in a way, is an economic lie to pump the numbers.

        They’ve kept immigration at these high unsustainable amounts, where now our GDP isn’t growing at a sensible rate and is causing Australia to be less wealthy.

        While halving the allowed migration rate will solve the majority of these issues there are still other issues, i.e University Degree Mills in India and other countries where you can buy your ‘qualification’ in whatever sector Australia isn’t able to meet demand – for example we had a mass shortage in the computer science field so the government pushed to get people with CompSci degrees to move over.
        Currently we have shortages in construction so are pushing for trade qualified people to move over by promising quick and easy access to visas and residency, these people then move over and do uber eats and other low skill jobs because the qualifications are falsified.

        At the protests there’s MINIMAL push to deport functioning members of society who have defrauded the system, the ones who are pushing are about 2% who are Neo-Nazi’s.

        It’s the same with all the Hamas sympathisers and people waving flags and pictures of the ayatollah during the Free Palestine protests – not all of them are Pro-Jihadist, Anti-Semitic people.
        There’s always going to he loud extremists at these things that try take the spotlight.

        You’ve gotta remember that both major parties have primarily left-leaning ideologies and all the majority of audiences pay attention to is media spin – which is what you’re doing, calling everyone protesting for sustainability a racist extremist, makes it look way worse than it is, of course they’re going to refute being a Nazi because the majority of them aren’t but go off.

          The bit about “paradoy of the creators” was me questioning someone else’s claim of that. Please learn how to read and understand the context of what you read.

          Chris XBoone that guy didn’t say that the character was a parody of the creators of the show, he said it was a parody of people in the audience. Either that was an intentional strawman argument or you’re just that dysfunctional, neither of which paints you as someone to take seriously.
          I don’t need to establish when the character first was published, I showed that there are six separate robot characters named GI Robot, with 4 of those all from the original creator, and only one of which is actually the one from the 1960s that you’re talking about. The GI Robot from the cartoon we are talking about right now is not one of those original 4 characters, it is its own character created specifically for creature commandos in 2024. You can take your false premise that this current rendition is the same as the original character in 1960 and put it up your ass tbh

          Please provide any evidence that the GI Robot was a separate character created specifically for Creature Commandos. You wanna talk about false premises, but you pulled that statement wholly out your own ass with no evidence.

          What’s hilarious about your claim is that the version in the show has the #2 on his head, which is a reference to J.A.K.E #2, who was the second GI Robot that joined the creature commandos in the comics after the first one left. So if anything, he was based off the second GI Robot from the comics. You’re so full of shit it’s hilarious
