A woman has spoken out after suffering serious injuries during Sleep Token’s set at the 2025 Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, KY. She shared her experience in a festival Facebook group, along with photos showing her being treated by on-site medical staff.
According to her post, she sustained a major concussion and a minor brain bleed after a crowd surfer was allegedly pushed away in frustration by other attendees and dropped directly onto her. The impact reportedly knocked her unconscious, and she went on to experience a seizure.
Her statement, shared on September 23rd, detailed what happened:
“Unfortunately, I didn’t get to enjoy past Friday.. I had to be pulled out of the Sleep Token crowd due to people tossing a surfer out of anger and he landed directly on top of my head. It knocked me out and I had a seizure once unconscious. There’s not much I remember during those moments. BUT, although I couldn’t see her I could hear an angel of a woman’s voice whom I think was also holding my head off of the ground, telling me I’m okay and not leaving to side till I was carried away. I was in and out of consciousness and wasn’t unaware of most things but kept hearing her comforting words throughout it all. It kept me calm for most of it. So I wanted to send her a huge thank you and anyone else who was involved in helping to get me out of there. I have sustained a major concussion and minor brain bleed.”
She also criticized those in the crowd whose actions led to her injury, writing:
“Now, to the absolutely rude, ignorant, and disrespectful people in that crowd that had not a single care for the well-being of innocent people, the people that tossed that guy on top of me when I didn’t see him coming. When I wasn’t prepared for that blow…. I hope you feel like absolute sh*t for it. And if you don’t, I hope there’s a special place for ya.
I paid for a four day pass like many others and my time was cut extra short because of what you did and have sustained a very serious injury because of it. Also drove 16 hours from southern Louisiana just to be there.”
Despite her frustration, she ended her post on a lighter note, expressing gratitude toward those who helped her and wishing others well:
“To everyone else I hope you all had an amazing time and I’m enjoying seeing all of the things I missed.”

Woman Injured During SLEEP TOKEN’s ‘Louder Than Life’ Set Speaks Out
https://springgreen-caribou-353428.hostingersite.com/sleep-token-louder-than-life-injury/
The Mosh Network I hope she learned her lesson
Im gonna say this before anybody says, “Oh its because its the Sleep Token fans as a whole,” No it is not ALL of us. In every music group that has ever existed, there have been bad apples in the bunch. The good Sleep Token fans would never have dropped her. The bad apples did. All the Sleep Token fans that I’ve come into contact with have all been lovely people. So dont count the whole group when its the few and far between. I hope this woman has a speedy recovery. 🙏
Xander Anderson this! the real sleep token fans would never let anything like this happen because just like you said, they’re generally great people!
Xander Anderson EXACTLY THIS. I was there and was getting super claustrophobic (I’m 4’11”) and told the fans surrounding me to give me space and immediately everyone around me essentially formed a mini circle around me so that no one can get too close to me 🥹those ST fans are the majority of the fandom. The bad apples of the fandom are the ones who constantly sexualize the guys and dox their information online and follow them at the festival KNOWING they want to remain anonymous.
Not all of us are bad 🥺but just like every fandom, there are most definitely those who have parasocial issues and are not the true fans
Xander Anderson I don’t like ST but this stuff happened other days as well. I personally heard people behind me coming in Sunday saying surfing should be banned and if surfers came their way, they’d duck out of the way. I seen it the most friday and Sunday. I can’t do much of that anymore though so I don’t. There was also people just straight sitting at the barricade or up close, I get people need a rest but with that many people there you can’t reasonably expect not to get accidentally kicked or tripped on.
Melissa Parker exactly. It was literally happening every day not just during ST. In fact, the video of a crowd chanting “drop that bitch” was during Evanescence and everyone seems to forget that too
Melissa Parker I was honestly stunned by how many people were just sitting down on the ground, especially while thousands of people were trying to leave on Friday.
Onyx Vanderpool my grievance with that is people saying it’s how they want to enjoy the which is fine but the same people saying rude things about surfers know the risk. If you’re in the pit zone sitting you also have to self awarenesd that you are also taking a risk. I feel like it’s more dangerous just because a surfer might get passed into that hole or moshers might fall on you.
Xander Anderson yes exactly. There are some of us in the ST fandom who came from the metal world. We’re used to it. It’s the pop girlies that aren’t acclimated to our way of doing things.
Xander Anderson People often forget that every single fanbase has toxic fans. From anime, shows, movies, video games, artists, musicians, authors, they’re in literally every single fandom. Religion & politics included. You can’t get away from the association of toxic fans, and in general, just toxic people.
Truth is, they do not represent the Sleep Token fandom as a whole, like you said. There’s always a group of bad apples in every fandom, Sleep Token being no exception to this.
Xander Anderson its not a “fan”. Its people who lack situational awareness, and think purely for themselves.
Xander Anderson this💯 us as the good fans would have definitely caught her 🫶
Xander Anderson issue with your comment. The bad apples are more vocal. That’s why all the fans are being judged. More fans are arguing the surfers deserved to be thrown and injured. Not dropped. Thrown. More fans are arguing this girl deserved her injuries when she was not crowd surfing at all. That is why sleep token fans are being judged like this. The good ones like you are not being vocal enough. So it seems like the sleep token fans as a consensus think this was acceptable behavior and it is not.
Xander Anderson no, from experience it’s the fans. New fans unfamiliar with the metal scene and “etiquette” 🤷♀️
Xander Anderson exactly it was a festival which means not all ST fans so who says it was them?
Xander Anderson some really are obsessed weirdos though. I started listening about a year ago to this project (ive listened to Leo Faulkner since he was like 19 crowdfunding, played a couple games of that old piratechest game wirh him and I was so excited to realize that he was the same guy! I almost fell over when my kid played his old clips I mean with no production i would have known- hes a classically trained pianist anyway three major fb groups here kicked me out in less than a week and I was being kind just watching the new clips coming out of he shows bc I couldnt make it. There are a lot of nice ones too though sometimes.
Xander Anderson FACTS! We were actually there & didn’t see or hear any of this happening, until after the fact. It’s so F’d up, but you’re right, don’t hate on all of their fans! Most of us are respectful & have some damn sense! 🤘🏼🖤🎶
Let’s remember, its not about YOU, its about enjoying the music & supporting the artists. No one is obligated to hold people in the air & float them to the front. Its annoying & disruptive to those who just want to enjoy the show. So if you do this & get injured – thats on You for being self centered.
Deanna Householder you sound like one of the ones responsible for throwing an adult male onto that woman’s head which caused her injuries
Matt Kinder if someone tried to surf over me I’d just duck so someone else can get them. Tbh they’re gonna drop if I try, I’m too damn short. Someone would grab them even if I tried.
Deanna Householder did you read? Because this was an innocent person who was not surfing.. this was a person who had someone dropped on their head.. not to mention regardless it’s about supporting and having fun, a lot of bands will ask to open up death walls, and mosh bits so please. It’s genuinely just about everyone being aware, mindful and overall decent people as to not needlessly or unintentionally (but avoidably) cause harm to others.
Lucy Nayelli just shows how dangerous it is. That surfers decision to force everyone around them to carry them was a risk not only to the surfer but to the crowd as well. Would you still be saying this if it were a handicapped person that got injured? Or a child? Cmon
Eric Newbold yes, i would still say its about being mindful, aware and over all decent people. everyone, the crowd the surfers, everyone. age doesnt matter, disability doesnt matter, if your going to a concert its just etiquette. if you cant handle the surfing, the pits the death walls, pick your seats wisely so everyone can have fun, no one gets hurt and the band doesnt look bad bc yk haters.
Lucy Nayelli totally get that but I also get the argument that it’s not everyone’s responsibility. Pits are different, you can avoid a pit. Crowd surfers are sometimes unavoidable and they’re coming at you from behind. You can be off to the side and sure enough some jackass is gonna try. I see both sides. Personally I’m not a fan of crowd surfers, but I get it. I’m not gonna let anyone intentionally fall but at the same time, I’m not gonna risk my safety for their fun as well. It’s just not a good ideal situation when it goes bad….
Eric Newbold fuck them they knew the risk when they climbed up lol. We are all adults here, they can be responsible for their own actions. They can also possess a bit of self-awareness and realize not EVERY act needs a stage dive/crowd surf moment.
Lucy Nayelli facts girl!
Eric Newbold here’s the thing when you’re going to a concert. It’s kind of just a known agreement, especially if you pick middle to front seating, that it’s everyone’s responsibility to keep everyone safe, so everyone can have a good time and concerts like that can keep going on. Sometimes shits unavoidable and it’s fucked. It’s really really sad. but it really is about being respectful, being mindful, being cautious and sadly picking your seats wisely with the understanding that most “fun” things happen in the middle of seating and although crowd surfing sometimes is unavoidable, it helps to be in further backseats, bc crowd surfing is typically done to also get the attention of those who are on stage and you are being pushed forward to the stage.
Lucy Nayelli I get it. But at the same time, nobody is under an obligation to participate. Some people just want to enjoy the show, not lug 250 pound farm boys over their head who are flailing their arms arm and legs around. Surfers need to know the risk as well. I’m personally not a fan. I’ve got back problems and I paid to watch a show, not watch behind me for someone else’s good time. Doesn’t mean I’m gonna intentionally drop someone, but I’m gonna be pissed when I see the same asshole treating it like a carnival ride
Deanna Householder respectfully, shut up! Clearly, you are not an avid concert goer. Because if you were you’d know, no matter how “annoying” or “disruptive” it is, the number one rule about going to a show is, get anyone up who wants to be up. If they fall, pick them up before people fall down or worse, fall down on top of them. I had a friend have a panic attack in the middle of a crowded floor and the first thing we did was lift him up and crowd surfed him to the front for help. You don’t always know the situation. So, with that said, you are the type of person who is the problem at these shows. No help, no human decency, just a selfish, “I paid my hard earned money for this”, I’m entitled self centered person who is absolute no help to anyone…… just stop talking and get tickets in the stands if you have an issue. Respectfully as always❤️
Jimmy Kruchten respectfully, grow some fucking situational awareness. Act like a fucking adult and accept some responsibility once in awhile holy shit
Chris Nelessen dude what? I’m super confused by your comment. “Situational awareness”? The situation is that a person is above you. Don’t be a dick, lift them up and move on with your experience. There could be a hundred reasons why that person is crowd surfing. Understand where you are and respect one another. Golden rule of being on the floor at a concert unless you didn’t know!?! And as far as the “Act like and adult” comment….. dude are you serious. All I said was make sure you take care of one another on the floor at a show. She had the nerve to basically say, “if you want to drop someone, that’s fine.” That is not fine, it’s kind of a shitty way to think in my opinion . And what responsibility do I need to accept? I responsibly, courteously helped a person to the front. I wouldn’t have been a part of the problem causing the scene. It was people who think like you and her that don’t belong to the rock/ Hard Rock/ Metal community. We help our own no matter the situation. Bands have stopped shows because someone was down and couldn’t get up. Dude, you need to seriously re-evaluate your values at shows. But if you jam to Sleep Token, I’ll give you a pass on this one because that’s what we are all here for. THE BAND! Be a good human being and take care of one another. Respectfully as always
Jimmy Kruchten “my friend was having a panic attack so I did the only thing I could think of, that could produce more panick, throw them up on the arms of a bunch of untrustworthy people”. That’s you. And that’s the situational awareness you lack. “Could be 100 reasons why that person is climbing all over people”. Yeah, your brain is as smooth as a marble
Chris Nelessen okay so next time I’ll let the person having difficulty breathing just hangout on the floor with thousands of people, being squeezed and panicking versus getting them above the crowd where they most definitely can breathe better and are being sent up to get help. I’m not seeing where we did anything wrong. And not that you need to know this but, yes, he was very grateful after the show and said we made the right call. You are allowed to have your opinion on what I did. All that matters is that the person in crisis at the time was saved and we as fans of a band should be like a community and help one another in these situations.
Jimmy Kruchten “we should be like a community” in which case, not fucking subject each other to possible dangerous situations LIKE CROWD SURFING AND PITS HOW STUPID ARE YOU?!?! Im done here.
Chris Nelessen great man. I just hope none of us have you around if something goes down at a show.
Jimmy Kruchten “Deanna Householder respectfully, shut up! So, with that said, you are the type of person who is the problem at these shows. No help, no human decency, just a selfish, “I paid my hard earned money for this”, I’m entitled self centered person who is absolute no help to anyone…… just stop talking and get tickets in the stand if that is an issue” Buddy are you fucking serious? This is the stance youre gonna take? You’re goddamn right im gonna ignore some manchild floating around above me, BECAUSE I paid my own hard earned money, and dont need to respect some fucking toolbox who wants to act out in public. YOU get tix in the stand if you want to be a dickhead to folks WHO WANT TO WATCH THE FUCKING ARTIST! Im gonna get as close to the stage as I fucking can because if im at the show, I CLEARLY LIKE THE ARTIST. Do you buy a 65″ TV just to watch it from the outside window? You sound fucking dumb, my guy.
Jimmy Kruchten again, lacking situational awareness, too. If your friend had known trouble breathing, then youre a shitty friend for not keeping them near a quick exit or away from the shit, REGARDLESS of how they felt at the time.
Jimmy Kruchten I just hope you grow some gray matter. Fucking brainless bot of a human
Jimmy Kruchten “The metal community” like youre some kinda general manager LMFAO bro get the fuck outta here with that shit. If you need to be accepted so badly, get some fucking therapy. That’s some weirdo shit.
Chris Nelessen brainless bot? And a bad friend. He doesn’t have breathing problems. He had a panic attack! No one can predict when that sort of thing will happen. Had only ever had one other attack ever in his life. Every argument you’ve had, you’ve had to use profanity and caps to get one small minded point across. Like I said before, you’re allowed to have your opinion as do I. Also, I thought you were done with this conversation, right?
Deanna Householder I’m accept she was standing on the ground 🙄 She wasn’t the surfer
Deanna Householder just admit you know nothing about metal concerts. It’s about the experience. If you just want to sit there and watch them get a seat
Brant Kowalak its about the music, you child. Are you REALLY gonna sit here and say your entire concert going experience will be ruined if you can’t crowd surf? Grow up lol
Chris Nelessen if it’s strictly about the music then stay home and listen to the music

Also how come at almost every single metal show the band commands the crowd to do certain things like open up the pit etc? They are never like hey everyone just stand there and look! 🤣
Deanna Householder I agree 100%
Deanna Householder agree. Surf at your own risk. 🤷♂️
Deanna Householder the person who was injured in this case wasn’t crowd surfing. She was watching so your comments in this case aren’t actually applicable.
Deanna Householder 💯. It’s horrible what happened but “you” are responsible for your own safety. I’m 4’11” and definitely not holding anyone above me.
Deanna Householder your argument would make more sense if the injured woman had been crowd surfing. Instead she was standing there and had a person thrown at her head. You can disagree with crowd surfing but intentionally harming someone because you’re mad is not ok. Which is what happened here.
Deanna Householder Yes you are obligated! If you are in the front you have agreed to the responsibility of that area of the crowd which is to carry crowd surfers! It is 100% your responsibility! Crowdsurfing is going to happen because it is part of the experience it always has been and always will be! By standing in the front of the crowd, you are essentially agreeing to the social contract of carrying crown surfers. You are also agreeing to the risk of a pit opening around you if you do not wanna deal with that then you stand in the back so that you can enjoy the show point blank period!
Alicia Marshall yes
Deanna Householder tell me you’ve never been to a rock/metal festival without telling me 💁🏻♀️ good luck getting a bunch of festival veterans to stop doing what they’ve payed thousands to participate in, for decades, your shitty attitude and butthurt look is not going to make us go “oh man, maybe we need to tone it down..” lol so let’s remember this instead.. Noone MAKES you enter a pit, which BTW, has signage about possible moshing/crowd surfing posted all around it, and it’s not our job to coddle your soft ass 🤷🏻♀️ If I pay over $2000, travel 3-6 hours for a festival, and all that comes with it, you’re not the person stopping me, I’ll plow through you and the rest of them, then hit a wall of death for the hell of it 😅 get tf back where you can calmly watch the show then, you entitled brats!
I’m sure Vessel and the boys have heard this news and are deeply upset with it. This isn’t what they want from their fans.
Aspen Birchfield Thats part of the problem with their gimmick…not addressing the things going on in their fanbase is an issue. They need to be making statements regarding how people are acting…I was pretty appalled when they didnt make a statement when all their fans were harassing the weatherman
Jamie Underwood I was pretty surprised none was made, even by their manager.
Jamie Underwood I didnt hear about the weatherman thing, I’m a newer fan of theirs but also not one of the crazy stalker like ones.
Aspen Birchfield Yeah when he was helping promote the new singles and nothing happened when it was supposed to (i think it was like a countdown I cant remember) but the fans went nuts like blowing up his socials and attacking people in the comments who were in there legit asking about bad weather conditions…it was so bad and such an embarrassment
Jamie Underwood that makes me sad, I love the boys and their music but they should definitely make statements.
Aspen Birchfield Yeah, even if its just through their manager or a spokesperson of some sort. Unfortunately Caramel is a song about those types of fans but they still dont seem to get it and I dont think they will unless the band puts their foot down
Jamie Underwood same
Jamie Underwood it’s not an issue unless you have unrealistic expectations. Which you shouldn’t, since it’s clear from day 1 that they will not do what others do. All those who get involved with them know very well what they literally sign up for.
Jamie Underwood they shouldn’t have to babysit ADULTS lol. When the fuck are y’all gonna take accountability for YOURSELVES? Holy shit
Alla Ballinskaya You dont need to “explain” what is being signed up for, been listening to them since 2019. Ive also been there done that with all the anonymous acts, they all fold eventually. Its no secret who they are, hasn’t been for a long time. There is literally ONE masked band that has yet to get found out and its because they are an extreme metal band.
Chris Nelessen First of all never said they had to babysit anyone, but to just continue to let their fanbase act like assholes and not say a word about it sends a pretty clear message that they dont give a shit. Their fans are crazy entitled assholes that cant see that they are the asshole so the band needs to step up and let them know they are over it. Oh but then they lose all that fame and money, makes sense.
Jamie Underwood “they need to make statements regarding how people are acting” is LITERALLY saying “The band should be babysitting the delinquents”. The fan base should be monitoring their own. You see somebody doing dumb shit CALL THEM OUT ON IT! Dont wait for the band to “release a statement”. Yall are quick to call somebody out online but in IRL yall are timid af and dont say anything. Where’s the energy when you can ACTUALLY make an impact or help somebody out? I dont want to hear shit from the backseat drivers.
Jamie Underwood Travis Scott let somebody did at his concert and hes making millions still. What the fuck are you even talking about? “Their fans” lol like there arent some weirdos in EVERY FANBASE. Pull your head out your ass if you wanna have a convo.
Jamie Underwood also, of all the Sleep Token articles ive seen, and the comment sections ive browsed, the “metal” purists are more fucking insufferable than any of the fans could ever be. We get it. You dont like ST. So GO LISTEN TO SOMETHING YOU DO ENJOY! Again, spending this much energy on something you dont like is insane. Go outside. Take a fucking walk. Get off the internet for a day.
Chris Nelessen First of all a conversation can be had without getting hostile…second I dont know who youre bitching to, considering the fact that ive probably been a fan of them longer than most of the people in here soooo🤷♀️ I am not some crazy ass fangirl that wants to jump Leo’s bones so I can sit there and point out what they are doing wrong instead of pretending that they are the most unflawed perfect band in existence…get over yourself
Jamie Underwood bruh they JUST blew up lmfao you expect them to just KNOW how to do things now? Another unrealistic fan, is what you sound like.
Chris Nelessen So defensive dude, and im the unrealistic fan🤣🤣🤣
Jamie Underwood im done going back/forth with you lol. Calling me defensive because YOU’RE getting in your feelings is hilarious.
Chris Nelessen Yeah you can self deflect on me all you want dude, im not the one getting all upset and hostile, cool as a cucumber over here
“We don’t want moshing and surfers.” Well, they do. They tried to open a pit and at other shows, he motions surfers towards where they are
Lex Knoles as much as I hate someone got injured, but he tried opening the pit and he enjoyed the crowd surfers. I understand some fans are just obsessed and want to just stare but I think seeing those pits open up, seeing the crowd surfers really boosts their energy even more. It makes them feel even better. Not just standing there, videoing on your phone. Sleep Token is amazing don’t get me wrong but you could see them light up at the scene of these people and the crowd actually do something other than just stand there. Every other band people were moshing, and crowd surfing, Sleep Token deserves the same energy if not more
Christine Oakes I meant the band wanted surfers and moshers. The “we don’t want surfers part” was referring to what some fans said. I hate that people stand around instead of actually moving, especially when the band wants you to move
Lex Knoles exactly. You could see the shift when he started seeing crowd surfers and stuff. And music festivals like warped tour and ltl mosh pits, wall of death and crowd surfers are just an always thing. They use to even do it at normal concerts but then everybody decided they were just gonna stand there. I can’t remember the last time I went to a concert where the crowd was actually moving.
I dont know if this was a fan-base issue or what, because I’ve seen this happen more and more. I saw this at PRoach earlier this year and some others at smaller shows. No one was hurt thankfully. Is it just people don’t understand etiquette or what? IDK.
Meghan Kate Brewer I don’t think it was a fan base issue. I think it was a combo of a large number of first time festival goers, 90 degree heat, and 10+ hours of waiting. People get a little less careful when they’re tired, hot and probably hangry. Personally I thought the surfing was getting to be too much, and I was nowhere near the center or front, but throwing someone down is just unacceptable
I heard it was throughout the festival where people were just fed up with the surfing. Regardless, dropping violently shouldn’t have happened. Maybe try to lower gently?
Danélle Tyson maybe they just need to chill in the back if they don’t wanna deal with surfers. It’s simple
Josh Larson this!!
Josh Larson I agree. I just think there’s no reason for the dropping or shine people said they were launch I no people really roughly. I just hate people intentionally trying to hurt someone else, there’s no reason for it.
Josh Larson for reference, this is how far back I was. It wouldn’t have mattered if you wanted to hang back and just watch, We were still dealing with surfers the entire performance

Am I alone in my thoughts that, that’s just the risk you take doing that and it can happen with any fan base.
Carly Turner she didn’t do it. A crowd surfer was thrown on top of her with no warning.
First time at a rock concert?
Cliff Broussard Someone Threw a crowd surfer at her. THREW. Not just dropped, or not that she missed a catch. They tossed a person. She got head a neck injuries.
Cliff Broussard rock concerts have crowd surfers and we don’t chant “drop that bitch”
Cliff Broussard read the article you fucking dipshit
Riss Moon you are the fucking dipshit that doesn’t understand how rock concerts are dumbass….
Lip Donnelly nice burner account. You too coward to be mean to people on the internet using your account and name? 😂😂😂😂
Riss Moon My name is Philip I go by Lip this is my only account. Unlike you this is my legal name “Riss Moon”…. go around calling people “fucking dipshits” is going to get you the response you went looking for. I hate bullies they are scum. So that is what you are. He simply said “first time at a rock concert” and your pathetic ass had to bite so I decided too as well. You act like a bad guy and people will stand up to you.
Lip Donnelly we aint worried about some cringe-lord scraggling up to us wanting to fight lol 🤡
Cliff Broussard dude. Nuh uh. We’re not gonna start that. We do not INTENTIONALLY throw people who are crowd surfing. EVER.
You took the risk getting up there. I’d never do that . But I’m not retarded so
Cliff Broussard maybe you are, because the girl in the article wasn’t up there. A surfer was thrown on top of her.
Cliff Broussard I am full retard 🫡🖖🏻🤪🏄♂️
There 19000 people there watching sleep token. it’s a metal music festival. People were crowd surfing shit is gonna happen.
Jayda Tyndell there were at least 50k watching them.
Eric Newbold it was insane I was there
Jayda Tyndell same!! I also just got to see them in Chicago on Sunday!
Eric Newbold that was my favorite concert ever holy shit
I really wish crowd surfing was a thing of the past. For multiple reasons. 1..I come to a music festival, to watch the music. I dont want to keep looking back every five seconds to make sure a human isn’t coming at my head.
2. Its just not safe in general. For the surfers or the People below. There’s always a chance someone’s going to get dropped, again, BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE WATCHING THE SHOW. 3. its just gross. And its really just no necessary to have a good time, and has way more cons than pros..
This girl is just one of the many who got hurt by crowd surfer, hers was just more sever than the usual.
Crowd surfing sucks for everyone. Period.
Raven Sapphire tbf… I also go to gigs to listen to the music and watch the band. But I intentionally stand far left, or far right on the side of the stage, still having a good view, without being “bothered” by potential crowdsurfers or moshpits. I mean, these things have always been a part of this particular musicscene and it shouldn’t be a part of the past because some people can’t handle the constantly looking back or watching out for potential hits. That’s just how it has always been.
I see dozens of people get hurt at any given show. 1 at sleep token is less than the other 99% of shows of other bands out there. I got a bloody nose seeing hot milk. Best show ever. Circle pit around the guitar player and vocalist was an amazing experience. You had to be there.
I was there and crowd surfed during their song Vore and was shoved dowwwwn. It was almost like out of a very odd dream, almost every crowd surfer was going down and not making it to the front. This was right after two girls grabbed my shoes and shoved me down near the front, causing me to fall on the two people behind me. Luckily, none of us were injured, but many others were that night. Wishing the best for this woman’s recovery, this type of fan behavior is simply awful. 🥺
Grace Cothran another who can’t read a fucking room lol. Grow up
Sleep token is not metal it’s pop and dosnt belong at a metal show
Michael Yanez cry louder.
William Fijolek 🤪
Michael Yanez Sleep Token has NEVER claimed themselves to be a metal band. They are a multi genre band.
Bye.
Michael Yanez you happy you got that off your chest lil buddy?
That picture is awesome
You surf at ur own risk.
Crowd surfing relying on total strangers? Seems like a risky plan…..
Would be awesome of the guys did something for her.
I specifically do not buy tickets to festivals because I dont want to participate in crowd surfing, I don’t want to be expected to hold someone up, I dont think it’s safe (it isn’t), and people do it at literally every festival for any genre. Shows get stopped. People get injured from surfing and from having surfers dropped on them. Fuck dude even the pits and walls of death are dangerous. I just want to hear and see a live performance of the music I like. I’ve seen people dropped on their heads at a fucking county fair. I understand its the culture, and again, that’s why I dont attend. I would rather see one band a year in an arena that actively discourages crowd surfing than see 20 at a festival. The risks, I feel, are assumed by the attendees. It is VERY unfortunate what happened to her AND the surfer. I don’t think it was the Sleep Token crowd being the Sleep Token fans because I had a completely different experience with the fans at their concert– everyone was dancing, the pit was lively, people had medical emergencies around me and were handled with care. I think it was people acting out of pocket because LTL is hot like all Kentucky summers and early autumns, and people get testy when it’s hot. Again, I think if you attend festivals, you assume certain risks– injury, heatstroke, theft, etc.
Fuck crowd surfers they’re the ones ruining the experience for everybody else and you should know what you’re getting yourself into if you crowdsurf in the first place
No one’s moshed and gotten hurt? What’s the difference. It’s the chance you take trusting complete strangers. It sucks what happened but be responsible for your own actions.
I was injured at the same concert but I’m not making a big ass deal over it girl I had a crowd surfer thrown on top of me and the lady I was backing so she could move through the crowd in her wheelchair better.
Violet Eden It’s not the ‘getting injured’ part that’s the issue. Apparently a lot of “so called fans” were yelling to drop her, or pulling her down intentionally, because cRoWdSuRfInG aT a SLeEp ToKeN sHoW iS nOt DonE 😒. They seem to forget that the band gestures multiple times during the show to open the pit or to surf, III and IV especially.
Sara Van den Eynde I said simeone was thrown on top of me. Do you lack comprehension. ?
Violet Eden no reason to be rude girl. The big ass deal that’s being made in THIS case, is that this kind of behaviour doesn’t belong on a concert that obviously has crowsurfers or moshpits. If you don’t like looking back all the time or potentially getting a slap here and there, you can always stand further back or at the sides of the stage. I’ve been hit multiple times, I never made an issue about it either, because i chose to stand in that particular place.
Sara Van den Eynde I was very far back with someone in a wheelchair that got crushed along with me .
Lots of us got hurt I got knocked unconscious and am in early pregnancy hints why I was WAY back from the stage.
I’m being rude because you read ONE part and got pissy with me they shouldn’t thrown people or drop them.
But they did it at fucking spirit box REPEATEDLY after people had over 100 people crowdsurfing people got tired of holding them up. Throwing them or dropping on purpose isn’t okay, but
If you’re also putting yourself in this situation while the crowd chants to stop crowdsurfing for a while because people are hot as fuck and worn down you put yourself in the position to be dropped not on purpose but it can happen . People were passing out from heat exhaustion.
As someone who was actually there
This is more than this girls problem.
Part of the risks going to a festival like this and being near any type of mosh pits or crowd surfing. You gotta think.. this is a festival with a crap load of bands playing. Some are much harder than others. They play right after eachother and often times at the same spots. So some people that were there to see a super heavy band also happened to be there for Sleep Token. You can’t blame THEIR fans for other fans mistakes. 🤷♀️
It’s not a band issue, it’s the generation. The younger kids don’t want to do it so they just don’t
Surfing comes with risks, no one is obligated to help you, people pay money just the same to enjoy the music, not there for you. It’s a crowded area, it’s been a long day, everyone is tired, hot, and sweaty and there are also children in the crowd as well. Some fans don’t care, some fans do. It sucks to see a fan get injured because of someone else. But it also takes time and preparation for these types of instances. Location in the crowd is a big one. I myself enjoy crowd surfing but sometimes I do get annoyed. It’s normal for both feelings. Praying for a speedy recovery but also size matters in crowd surfing, weight matters in crowd surfing, shoes matter in crowd surfing. There are people strong enough to hold others, and there are people who aren’t strong enough to hold others. One thing that helped me adjust was by the people I surrounded myself with in the crowd and we always come up with a plan that way everyone is equally satisfied. If the people around you are strangers, get to know them before the set starts and find the ones who don’t mind to help surfers.
Matt Hager so thing here is, in a festival pit, everyone looks out for everyone.. if crowdsurfers come through, you support them, if someone gets claustrophobic, you help them out, if someone falls, you pick them up.. if someone is hurt, you do this 🙅🏻♀️ rules that have been in place for decades.. if you can’t do that, you have no business in a festival pit 🤷🏻♀️ this lady had a crowd surfer thrown on top of her by people who have never been in a festival pit.. she wasn’t the problem, had the group around her noticed a crowd surfer flying at them, they would have tried to catch them.. if you’re a little person, or you’re not strong or rested enough to take on the responsibility of looking out for your peers, then stay tf out of the mosh zone.. she wasn’t in the dense part of the crowd where all the action was, she stayed out of it, where those refusing to chip in should have been..
Izzy Anne Shook blah blah blah I know. I’m not taking sides.
Crowd surfing has risks..don’t expect to be injury free if you’re not on your feet….
I have been a rocker chic since I was in my teens. I am almost 57 and still rock out. Mosh pits have changed over the years and have gotten more aggressive, but the music has changed as well. I have been to 100s of concerts. I know if I don’t want a potential kick in the back of the head, not to be near the front section. I know the possibility of a mosh pits breaking out anywhere and more likely with more hardcore shows. It is part of the experience. Back in the day we used to jump stage and jump off the stage into the crowd so you guys are lucky you don’t have to experience that anymore lol if you don’t wanna deal with mosh pits or crowd surfing, just stay towards the sides and farther back.
How they are boring as hell didn’t think people moved like that to their music
I dont support crowd surfers……😉
This isn’t just happening at Sleep Token or Louder Than Life!
Throwing people is ridiculous and no different than getting pissed off and doing something intentionally when stuck in a traffic jam on an interstate.
I was at a concert at the the front.
There was 1 crowd surfer above me and more to left with security directly in front of me trying to help them down.
Some 6’6″ dude 2 or 3 people behind me was super drunk.
He got pissed about the crowd surfers.
He threw the person/crowd surfer who collided with the crowd surfer that was above me.
When they collided above me there was nothing I could do, I literally I folded in half with top half of my body on security side over the rail and my feet off the ground on the crowd side of the rail. I was dangling or as my son put it I pulled a Mr. Fantastic.
The one crowd surfer tried avoiding me but the other one, because he was thrown, landed on my neck, back and right shoulder.
The damage
C5-C6: Minimal disc bulging without spinal canal or foraminal narrowing.
C6-C7: Minimal disc bulging without spinal canal or foraminal stenosis.
C7-T1: Minimal disc bulging without spinal canal or foraminal narrowing.
IMPRESSION:
Mild superior endplate compression fractures involving C7 and T2 with associated marrow edema
I’ve been to 70 shows since January of 2024 and survived stage diving at Upon A Burning Body, circle pits at festivals, crowd surfing to Falling in Reverse and the Slaughter To Prevail wall of death. Before this, years of festivals and concerts. This show was mild in comparison and for the most part the crowd was chill and followed the typical concert etiquette for this type of music.
I’ve been in hundreds of pits and never experienced anything like this. I feel like things in the Pit have changed.
Ohhhh and the name of the band?
A Day To Remember …. definitely a day I won’t forget.
I hope the person from LTL doesn’t experience any long term or life long problems and hope she heals quickly.

After….stop throwing people. Just set them down.

What I’ve learned from this: It’s completely okay for crowd surfers to have absolutely no regard for others’ safety. However, it’s not okay to have no regard for a crowd surfer’s safety. It’s also apparently not okay to not want to have 150+ pounds to land on you or get kicked in the back of the head.
I shouldn’t have to watch behind me more than I get to watch the band. I’m not sorry if you break your tailbone because you prioritized your own experience over everyone else’s. Because I’m also going to prioritize mine over yours.
Randy Huyck you have absolutely no business going to a concert. Pots and crowd surfing have been around since before you were born. And there has always been rules to those two activities. In the pit of someone falls you help them up. And when someone crowd surfs you do your best to not drop them.
There were people at the show dropping people on purpose. One girl got a severe concussion and a brain bleed.
If you think that is ok as long as it doesn’t interfere with your experience. STAY HOME.
Rock concerts aren’t for you no matter who the band is. And the guys on stage. Vessel and III encourage people to get in the pit and they are probably into seeing the surfers. That shit takes courage and trust. But there is this thing called etiquette. And the fans that chose to be assholes and let people get hurt. ALSO NEED TO STAY HOME🙄🤘🏻
Tinia Merchant Wow that’s crazy. I don’t care. I have no intention of being anywhere near a pit, I avoid them because they’re voluntary participation. If someone fell next to me, I would help them up. If someone kicks me in the back of the head because they’re crowd surfing, that isn’t voluntary. That’s flat out objectively fucked up. There isn’t “concert etiquette” for crowd surfing. Even if everyone was okay with crowd surfers, there’s still a chance that they get to a thinner part of the crowd and land on an unsuspecting person. I’ve seen it happen before. So no, I couldn’t give two fucks what happens to a crowd surfer. I’d participate in holding them up for the sole fact that they may land on someone else and hurt them. But for no other reason. I didn’t buy tickets to babysit idiots that want to jump on top of people. I’ll go wherever I want. Thanks.
Tinia Merchant Also, thank you for confirming the hypocrisy of crowd surfers being allowed to prioritize their experience, but nobody else is allowed to.
Randy Huyck you can prioritize your experience. That’s fine. But you don’t prioritize it to the point of being ok with someone getting hurt. I’m sure if a member of the band decided to crowd surf that would be perfectly fine. People would pray they did it over them and they would make sure to get him back to the stage safely. But people being intentionally dropped. That’s fine. They were strangers interrupting someone’s experience 🙄
Randy Huyck oooo. Did I strike a nerve with the baby. Poor guy. I hope the next time you get kicked in the damn head. Maybe it’ll knock some sense into you
Tinia Merchant Sounds like I struck your nerve instead, considering you’re the only one who’s hoping someone gets hurt. Nice concert etiquette you got there. I said I dont care if they get hurt, not that I hope they get hurt. I’m not as inconsiderate as you who’s so willing to ruin other people’s experience for just a few minutes of fun.
Randy Huyck that’s the point. Of a crowd surfer comes in you direction it’s going to affect you for 30 seconds. I think you’ll live. Because I can tell you with full certainty that there is etiquette when it comes to crowd surfers. And the dipshits at that show decided to maliciously ignore it.
I care about people getting hurt unless they ask for it and then a good swift kick is warranted. Unless it’s an accident no one should be hurt at all. Especially crowd surfers. Most decent people try to not only have fun and enjoy the show but to help others have fun too. A lot of young crowd surfers are literally having their first concert experience and they are letting themselves be vulnerable and it used to be a very trustworthy experience. But now people have to worry about being intentionally hurt. That’s sad. And most bands would be upset as well because seeing their fans have fun is their top priority. It’s a shame we don’t have bands like we used to. Kurt cobain would crowd surf. Eddie Vedder as well. And if someone hurt someone intentionally like that they would lose their teeth to the bands fists. I miss the old days✌️🤘🏻🙄
Tinia Merchant The main problem is that I’ve repeatedly seen people injured because the crowd surfer would hit a thin spot in the crowd. The crowd surfer always walks away fine yet the person he landed on would always be injured in some way. The worst I’ve seen is a guy landed on a small girl not too far from me and it knocked her out and bent her leg in a way legs aren’t supposed to bend. I would prefer to watch the concert than have to constantly watch behind me so I don’t get kicked in the head or watch out so that nobody around me gets hurt like that. It would be slightly different if they came from the front, especially where the crowd is thicker like where the singers you mentioned would start from. But I’m sick of people carelessly jumping on top of other people expecting to be carried through hundreds of people, not giving a shit about anything but themselves.
I just know where I was at in the crowd there were gaps and it was really hard for people to carry the crowd surfers. One landed on my finance and knocked him down some. But we knew people were not intentionally dropping them.
It’s not sleep token fans, it’s those who are used to seeing them at stricter venues, and then spreading bad vibes in festival pits because they don’t like getting bumped.. people pay 3x the money to go to festivals, and many do so to mosh and crowd surf, and those who refuse to pull their weight in a festival pit or chant “drop that bitch..”, not supporting their fellow pit mates, have no business showing up with bad attitudes and a sense of entitlement telling us long time festival vets what we can and can’t do 👍🏻 i was in the crowd when this lady was hurt, and it was because certain ST fans are clueless about pit etiquette that’s been around for decades.. she would not have had a crowd surfer thrown on top of her, because those familiar with festival pits know part of the responsibility of being in one, is to support those around you..
When you surf the crowd, you are bascially giving STRANGERS permission to throw you around. Ive been in the crowd, ive been knocked down, headbutted, elbow to the face and back of the head, kicked in the back of the head, you CHOOSE to crowd surf then you may or may not get hurt. Its common sense. I had a lady LAND right on top of me, thank goodness i am heavily insulated (fat) and she was tiny lol
People need to stop crowd surfing already, no one wants to hold your asses up to crowd surf. Some of you are really heavy to and still do it, so it’s not the bands fault. The fault is the one who was crowd surfing in the first place
Sleep token mega fans are unhinged. Can’t even be apart of the groups because it’s nothing but sexual thirst posting. I love Sleep Token but I loathe their fan base.
Everyone thinking that is ok needs to be thrown into a pit at rockville. The crowd was chanting drop that bitc#. Its a metal festival and everyone knows if you don’t want to deal with surfers or pits then you stay in the back. The crowd were throwing surfers and one of them landed on this girl. Sleep Token more their fans belong at a metal festival and im sure DWP has learned that lesson. I go to Rockville and Louder every year and have never seen this so yes it was the ST cult. I skipped this year because they were there and I refuse to listen to that trash. So for everyone who thinks that this behavior was ok come to Rockville this year and see how you feel after the toss you into the pits.
I was front to the right of the stage and we didn’t have any issues at all. It read crowded yeah but it’s a festival it’s expected. If you’re front and center then expect to see crowd surfers over your head it happens. Fans shouldn’t have been dropping ppl security on our side if the stage was pretty quick. There are a lot of newer fans that don’t understand concert etiquette lately.
I have a Sleep Token TATTOO, so I’d consider myself a fan. I can say with complete honesty that I’m disappointed in the fandom and the way they’ve treated others at these shows. The sense of entitlement and lack of empathy is disheartening. At these shows we should lift each other up and create a vibe worth remembering, not knock someone out cold because we don’t like what they’re doing. Any show with music on the harder side is going to end up with crowd surfers and moshpits, if you don’t like it, go back to your Sabrina Carpenter and T-Swift shows cause obviously you can’t handle the scene 🤷🏻♀️.
Anyone that saw it happen knows she tried to climb a guy in front of her and he bent over and she went straight down on her forehead. It’s her own fault. No one was thrown on her. It happened during Thornhills set not Sleep Token.
It was definitely a different ruder crowd for some bands.
This was happening throughout the festival for multiple different bands.
Ya’ll are just fueling the Sleep Token hate with this by continuing to point blame at them. It’s been 3 weeks. Let it go already.
Huge Sleep Token fan, but the behavior I saw from that LTL show was disgraceful and disgusting. You don’t want to deal with crowd surfers? Then don’t go!!! Don’t want to deal with moshing??? Then don’t go! Expecting an entire community to change and placate to you after doing things the exact same way for literal decades is ridiculous, entitled and gross behavior. I blame it on so many people being overweight and out of shape. Grow up and get out!
It’s not Sleep Token fans. I saw so many people dropped at Rockville during 3DG also. 🤷🏻♀️
Praying for this woman’s recovery. And hope the people that thought this was funny to do to her get the karma they deserve. Go find another band. You are not a true rock or metal fan.
We all know you are one of those that don’t communicate, and just make noises and meow like all Sleep Token fans.
