Earlier this week, UK/Canadian tattoo artist InkITEJ claimed her business Instagram account was removed after receiving a copyright strike from Sleep Token and Rico Management. The takedown reportedly stemmed from her sharing Sleep Token-inspired tattoo designs and flash art on the platform.
Following widespread backlash online, the band’s management has since retracted the copyright claim after a discussion with Sleep Token themselves. However, this doesn’t guarantee the restoration of the artist’s original account.
With her main page still disabled, the artist — whose real name is Emily-Jayne — has launched a new Instagram account to continue her work and address the situation.
Music outlet Common Revolt also summarized the events in an Instagram post, including now-expired Stories that documented the initial takedown.
