Multi-platinum alternative metal outfit Staind have officially wrapped recording on their ninth studio album, according to guitarist Mike Mushok.
Speaking during an interview around this week’s Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio, Mushok confirmed that the record is now fully completed, though fans may still have a wait ahead before its release.
“We have a new record that’s actually done. It won’t be out this year, I don’t think.”
While no official release date has been announced, Mushok suggested the album is currently being positioned for a potential 2027 rollout.
The timeline appears to align with frontman Aaron Lewis focusing heavily on his solo country touring schedule throughout the remainder of 2026, alongside a limited number of Staind live appearances.
With the album now finished, the band’s next phase will likely center around planning its eventual release strategy and coordinating future touring cycles around Lewis’ solo commitments.
