Static-X have unveiled a fresh visualizer for “Down”, a bonus track from the Japanese edition of their 1999 debut, Wisconsin Death Trip. The clip features rare and previously unreleased photos and video from 1998, offering fans a nostalgic glimpse of the band in their early days.
Reflecting on the release, the band shared:
“We’ve always known there were gems buried in the ‘Wisconsin Death Trip‘ archives but seeing Exum’s images come to life in this new visualizer feels like stepping back into 1998. ‘Down‘ was a track we always loved and giving it this new visual energy is our way of celebrating Wayne, the album, and the fans who have kept this music alive for 25 years.”
The track will appear on the upcoming 25th anniversary edition of Wisconsin Death Trip, due December 12th. The remastered release, handled by original producer Ulrich Wild, will arrive as a deluxe vinyl box set, commemorating a quarter-century of the industrial nü-metal classic.
