STATIC-X Announce ‘Wisconsin Death Trip’ 25th Anniversary Box Set

Platinum-selling “evil disco” pioneers Static-X have announced a special limited edition box set celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album Wisconsin Death Trip. The Corrosive Edition will be released December 12th on orange and black eclipse vinyl and includes a variety of bonus tracks and collectible items.

The album’s original producer Ulrich Wild returned to oversee the remastering, while original photographer Exum unearthed hundreds of previously unseen photos and footage from the original shoot.

Bonus items in the box set include a laser-engraved ID tag, an ID bracelet with a QR code linking to full 8mm footage of a Static-X photo session from 1998, a pill bottle, stickers, and more. Pre-orders are available now at static-x.com.

Outside of the anniversary celebrations, Static-X are reportedly working on new material. Bassist/vocalist Tony Campos told Bloodstock TV:

“We’ve been talking about writing some new material, some new songs. We have a documentary that’s in the works right now. So we’re gonna finish that first. And then, once we drop that, then we’ll revisit going in and writing some new material. I don’t wanna juggle too many plates. Let’s just finish [the documentary]. Then we can focus all of our attention on new material.”
