SUICIDE SILENCE Respond to Slaughter To Prevail Tour Backlash: “They’re Taking Deathcore Further Than We Ever Did”

Dying Fetus and Suicide Silence have both come under fire from a portion of their fanbase for joining Slaughter To Prevail’s massive European/UK headlining tour in early 2026. Critics have raised concerns on multiple fronts — from the decision to support a younger, less established act, to controversy surrounding Slaughter To Prevail frontman Alex Terrible, stemming from past allegations.

Terrible himself addressed the criticism earlier this month, posting:

“I went to @suicidesilence and @dyingfetusofficial pages and read all hate comments from people. They mad about our own headline tour.

Listen I grew up with Suicide Silence music and never imagined they will open for my band. To be honest I still don’t know how to react for this and for me personally I prefer touring without any support bands. Just us and we did it a lot of times already and sell out big Venues which is very very good. But people always complained it was just us and they want more. Well our team worked it out and asked sick bands to tour with us and now people complain this band touring with us coz of US in our own tour WHAT THE FFFFFF”

Now, Suicide Silence have spoken publicly about the controversy. In a newly released video, vocalist Eddie Hermida stated:

“Every single person talking shit is going to be going to at these fucking shows.
Look, anybody who is doubting. Anybody who says that Suicide or Dying Fetus need to be above Slaughter To Prevail, just go to a Slaughter show; Look at how many people they fucking draw.

It is a fucking honor to be on tour with them. It is fucking cool to see a younger band taking the reigns of deathcore and taking it way further than we ever did. Like, this is a proud moment for us. And if you fucking think otherwise, fuck you.”

Guitarist Mark Garza also chimed in, noting:

“Some of these shows are arenas, because Slaughter is that big. Regardless what you think about them or say about them, they’re fucking doing it man.
The real world and the comments are two different worlds. You can talk shit on them all you want, but there’s arenas on the fucking tour, that’s crazy.”
