Members of the cast of ‘Super Troopers’ made a surprise appearance during Limp Bizkit’s set on July 18th, crashing the band’s performance with a staged “noise complaint” before joining them onstage for a chaotic finale.
The appearance took place during Creed’s “Summer Of ’99 And Beyond Festival” at Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL. Members of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe appeared in character as their beloved ‘Super Troopers’ counterparts, initially interrupting the set to confront the band over excessive noise.
As expected, the situation quickly spiraled into comedy-fueled chaos, culminating in the cast joining Limp Bizkit onstage for a closing performance of the band’s hit single “Break Stuff.”
The crossover event also served as promotion for the upcoming third installment in the ‘Super Troopers’ franchise, which is scheduled to arrive on August 7th.
The festival appearance marked another notable moment for Limp Bizkit, whose inclusion on the lineup alongside Creed signaled that the long-running feud between the two bands appears firmly in the past.
Earlier this month, Limp Bizkit also welcomed comedian, actor and musician Tom Green to the stage for a guest appearance during a performance of “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle).”
