The Forge, a live music venue in Joliet, Illinois, will close its doors after nearly a decade of hosting concerts and events. The venue announced the news on social media, confirming that its final night will take place on Halloween, Saturday, October 31, ahead of its official closure on November 1.
In a statement shared on Facebook, the venue reflected on its history since opening in 2017 and thanked the fans, artists and staff who helped make it a destination for live music in the Southland.
“Since 2017, we’ve made countless announcements featuring some of the best artists on the planet. This one is our last. The Forge will close its doors for the final time on November 1st.”
The venue also confirmed that it is working to relocate shows currently scheduled for future dates, with updates on replacement locations expected as arrangements are finalized.
Before closing, The Forge will host one final night of music and celebration on October 31. The event will feature Yet Again, My Sacrafice and Coverlicious, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Admission will be free, and the venue is promising “2017 prices!” for the occasion.
Rather than treating the farewell as a somber occasion, The Forge is encouraging its community to come together and celebrate the memories made over the past nine years.
“Bring your happy face and your fondest memories—there’s no pity party here! We’re celebrating the incredible music, unforgettable nights and great times we’ve shared since 2017, and we want YOU there with us.”
The venue closed its announcement with a message of gratitude to the people who supported it throughout its run.
“We’ve had a great time serving you for the last 9 years, so let’s turn the lights off together!”
The Forge’s final event takes place Saturday, October 31, in Joliet, Illinois, marking the end of its nearly decade-long run as a live music venue.
