The Halo Effect have officially begun sessions for their third studio album. The Swedish melodic death metal supergroup — featuring multiple former and current members of In Flames — are already deep into the early stages of writing and recording for the follow-up to 2023’s ‘Days Of The Lost’ era.
Vocalist Mikael Stanne, who also fronts Dark Tranquillity, recently shared an update on the band’s progress during a new interview with Futuro, confirming that the next full-length is actively coming together.
“…We are working on our third album right now, so as soon as that is out — like by the end of the year or something like that — it’s gonna be time to tour again, of course. So, I hope we can come [to Chile] and do a proper tour.”
Stanne later added that the material is already leaving a strong impression, hinting at what fans can expect from the next chapter of the project.
“And the new album is shaping up to be incredible. I just heard one song today, and yeah — it’s gonna be fantastic.”
No official release date has been announced yet, but Stanne’s comments suggest the band is targeting a late-year window, with touring plans to follow once the record is complete.
