THE SOUND OF ANIMALS FIGHTING Quietly Reveal First Album in 15 Years, ‘The Maiden’, Ahead of Fall Tour

Experimental post-hardcore collective The Sound of Animals Fighting—known for their rotating lineup, conceptual storytelling, and animal-themed personas—are back with their first full-length album since 2008’s The Ocean and the Sun. Titled The Maiden, the new record is set for release on September 1st via Born Loser Records.

Although no official announcement has been made on social media, the album cover, tracklist, and preorder links surfaced quietly on their Bandcamp page yesterday. The lead single, “Lady of the Cosmos,” dropped at midnight EST on all major streaming platforms.

Previously, the band announced a fall tour alongside The Casket Lottery and This Will Destroy You. Their official website now features an updated tour poster branding the run as The Maiden Tour, confirming the new album’s support role.
