Post-hardcore/emo outfit Thursday recently stopped by Musora to take part in the popular ‘On The Spot’ performance series, delivering a unique cover of a well-known alternative classic.
The concept behind the series challenges participating artists to learn, arrange, and record a cover song within a single day-long studio session. For Thursday’s appearance, Musora selected 4 Non Blondes’ 1993 gold-certified hit “What’s Up?” — pushing the band to reinterpret the iconic track through their own emotional and atmospheric lens.
Known for their expressive songwriting and dynamic sound, Thursday bring a distinctly moody edge to the song while maintaining the recognizable melodies that made the original a breakout success. The session captures both the creative process and the finished performance, showcasing the band working through the arrangement before unveiling their completed version.
