A new musical crossover is coming to Final Fantasy XIV, bringing some serious firepower. Tom Morello — known for his groundbreaking work in Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave — has teamed up with platinum-certified metalcore outfit Beartooth for a brand-new track titled “Everything Burns”, created specifically for a raid in the game’s upcoming Arcadion content.
This unlikely fusion of gaming and metal was made possible thanks to FFXIV composer Masayoshi Soken, a longtime Morello fan who had hoped to collaborate. Jason Charles Miller (gODHEAD), who has deep ties in the game industry, ultimately connected the two worlds.
Morello confirmed the project and shared an early preview of the song while discussing how the collaboration came together. Fans will be able to hear the full version when the new patch arrives on Tuesday, December 16th.

Did you know that the game that became Metroid Prime started it’s development cycle as a turok game? When Nintendo broke up Iguana, they stole not only key people from the ashes, but a build of a next gen turok game with it.
