Tool Facing Potential Class-Action Lawsuit Over Disappointing ‘Tool Live In The Sand’ Setlists

Some fans are reportedly considering a class-action lawsuit following their disappointment at the inaugural Tool Live In The Sand destination festival, which was headlined by the progressive metal giants. As you may have heard, the multi-platinum band’s two headlining sets this past weekend on the beaches of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic left several attendees underwhelmed.

The primary issue stemmed from the band’s decision to keep their setlists largely unchanged for both performances on March 7th and 8th. Notably, they included the same four songs—“Fear Inoculum,” “Rosetta Stoned,” “Pneuma,” and “Jambi”—during both shows. See below for how the concerts unfolded.

Given the premium price paid to attend the event in such a tropical setting, the band’s decision to repeat several songs from the opening night did not sit well with some fans. As seen below, disgruntled attendees voiced their frustration, even resorting to boos during the second night of the festival after Tool opted to play the same setlist, much to the disappointment of many.
