Two of today’s most innovative guitar minds—Tosin Abasi of Animals As Leaders and Australian virtuoso Plini—have joined forces for a new instrumental piece titled “In Captivity.”
The collaboration came to life as part of a one-day songwriting challenge hosted by Neural DSP, tasking both musicians with writing and recording a full track in just 24 hours. The result is a tightly crafted, exploratory piece that blends Abasi’s rhythmic precision with Plini’s melodic flair.
Fans can also get a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process through an accompanying video, documenting how the track came together from initial riffs to final mix.
