TRIVIUM Announce Departure Of Drummer Alex Bent

Trivium have officially announced the departure of longtime drummer Alex Bent after nine years with the band. The news was shared via social media on October 3rd, with Bent issuing a heartfelt statement reflecting on his time with the group.

“I am beyond grateful for the incredible past 9 years with Trivium—filled with unforgettable moments, music, and friendships that I’ll always carry with me. I’m so proud of every record and tour we created together, and I know Trivium will continue to dominate the world; they’ll always have my support. While this chapter has come to a close, this is by no means the end of my path as a musician. I’m excited for this new chapter, and I look forward to continuing to create, perform, and share music in new ways. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. Your encouragement means the world.”

Bent also shared an additional message on his personal Instagram, writing:

“I just want to send a sincere thank you to every single person who has supported me the past 9 years with Trivium, and even before that. It never has and never will go unnoticed. I have no plans to slow down and I am looking forward to whatever the future brings.”

At this time, Trivium have not yet announced who will be stepping in as their next drummer — the sixth in the band’s history.
