Melodic hardcore standouts Turnstile and rising British alternative metal collective Sleep Token both came up empty-handed at the 2026 ‘BRIT Awards’, held February 28th in Manchester, UK. Despite major breakthrough years for both acts throughout 2025, neither band secured a victory during this year’s ceremony.
That outcome contrasts sharply with Turnstile’s success earlier this month at the GRAMMY Awards, where the Baltimore, MD outfit earned two trophies, including Best Metal Performance for “Birds” — beating nominees including Sleep Token and Ghost — as well as Best Rock Album for ‘NEVER ENOUGH’.
Meanwhile, Sleep Token continued their recent streak of commercial milestones following the release of their chart-topping album ‘Even In Arcadia’ last May. However, the masked group also went home without a win at the GRAMMYs, where Nine Inch Nails claimed Best Rock Song over their nominated material.
The 2026 BRIT Awards winners were announced during today’s ceremony, with the categories featuring the above artists listed below.
