Progressive metalcore outfit vianova have been forced to cancel and postpone several upcoming live appearances across the UK and Europe as frontman Alexander Kerski continues recovering from recent surgery.
According to the band, Kerski underwent a procedure to remove a cyst that had developed in his sinus, with the recovery process taking longer than initially anticipated. As a result, doctors have advised him to refrain from performing for the time being.
The cancellations impact the band’s scheduled appearance at RADAR Festival, along with planned shows supporting Protest The Hero in Glasgow and Utrecht.
In a statement issued to fans, the band explained:
“UK fans — unfortunately, due to doctor’s orders relating to ongoing recovery from surgery, we have had to make the difficult decision to pull out of RADAR Festival this weekend, alongside our shows with Protest The Hero in Glasgow and Utrecht.”
The group’s headlining London show has been successfully rescheduled and will now take place on November 26th. Existing tickets will remain valid for the new date, while those unable to attend can contact their point of purchase regarding refund options.
The band added:
“For ticketholders for our London show, we have managed to reschedule to Thursday 26th November; all tickets will remain valid for the new date, however if you are unable to attend then please get in touch with the ticket agent you purchased from for details on obtaining a refund.”
Despite vianova’s absence, the originally scheduled support acts LUNA KILLS and Scatter The Tribe will still perform at New Cross Inn this weekend, with all previously purchased tickets remaining valid for entry.
Kerski addressed the situation further in a series of videos shared online, explaining that his recovery remains ongoing and that additional time away from the stage is necessary before returning to live performances.
