Wage War have debuted their latest single “Sweet Dreams,” which arrived online tonight, August 13th, alongside a new music video. Errick Easterday, whose previous credits include work with Mastodon and Boundaries, directed the newly released visual.
The track follows the band’s ‘IT CALLS ME BY NAME’ EP, which arrived earlier this year, and currently stands as a standalone release from the melodic metalcore outfit.
Wage War offered the following explanation of the song:
“‘Sweet Dreams’ is a song about being deceived by the world around you. About safety in a sense of blissful ignorance. Sonically, it draws inspiration from all of our previous work over the last 10 years.”
The video also ties into the band’s upcoming ‘Emergency Broadcast Tour’, which will find Wage War headlining across North America this fall. We Came As Romans, Varials and Cane Hill will provide support on the trek.
