West End Motel have released a new track, “Return Of The Kid,” arriving exactly one year after the passing of the band’s late member Brent Hinds.
Hinds, best known as a founding member of Mastodon, was a member of West End Motel prior to his death in a motorcycle accident on August 20, 2025.
The newly released track also features Matt Pike of High On Fire, one of Hinds’ close friends. Pike contributes to the song in what serves as a fitting tribute to Hinds on the first anniversary of his passing.
“Return Of The Kid” marks a particularly poignant release for West End Motel, arriving on the same date the band lost their longtime member and friend.
