311 guitarist Tim Mahoney and drummer Chad Sexton have teamed up with longtime collaborator Scotch Ralston for a new band dubbed Sun Will Shine.
Ralston, who has worked extensively with 311 as a producer and collaborator over the years, takes on vocals and keyboards in the new project. The trio have now introduced the band with their self-titled debut track, “Sun Will Shine.”
The song was self-produced by the group, with Ron St. Germain — whose production credits include work with 311 and Bad Brains — handling the mix.
The debut arrived online on August 27th, marking the first release from the newly formed project.
