A Killer’s Confession have lost yet another member mid-tour, with guitarist Max Carrillo announcing his exit from the group. Carrillo—who only joined the band in March—shared a detailed statement on Friday, April 18th, citing ongoing internal issues and unprofessional behavior as the reasons behind his abrupt departure. Carrillo posted the following on his Facebook account:
“Quitting A Killer’s Confession. Not good human beings. No wonder the drummer and merch guy quit at the same show for being treated super badly. Also found out they’re trying to create a fake scenario about me behind my back. Saying I got drunk on stage and fell off. And then telling me the other drummer wanted to get rid of me to try to turn me against them. When the whole time they talked about replacing the drummer and bassists behind their backs.
And then the singer was ready to fight me today. Fuck that unprofessional bullshit. The abuse and toxicity in that band is unreal. Currently left stranded in Santa Clarita, California. Gonna try to figure out a way to get back to LA. If there’s any California friends that can help please let me know thanks”
Carrillo expanded on his decision in the comments section of his original Facebook post, detailing what he described as repeated instances of unprofessional and toxic behavior within the band. His stint with A Killer’s Confession was short-lived, having only joined the lineup in March.
His exit comes just days after drummer Kegan King also quit the group mid-tour. Posts from King suggest that his departure was far from friendly. Despite the internal turmoil, A Killer’s Confession are pressing forward with their remaining U.S. tour dates, with frontman Waylon Reavis performing alongside various former members of Mushroomhead throughout the run.

Johnny Benihana yeah, a friend of ours was a guitarist for the band back in 2019. Made the album with them. Was in the videos too. First live show, took backstage, halfway through the show and Waylon came back out to finish the show but never saw our friend out there again. When you look the band up, there’s no acknowledgement that he was ever a member.

People don’t know anything at all. I’ve been playing shows since I was 15 ( 17 years ago ) and I’ve only missed two until I quit on this last tour. I’m not a wimp, who just quits for nothing. If that’s all you have to grasp on, it’s far from the truth bud. I’m still cool with everyone in my old band besides one person who’s GF don’t like me. Keith Tattness McCleary I had a big falling out with Waylon Reavis years ago, we were best friends and some stuff happened that split that friendship for 10 years but last September we met up and made amends and instantly he wanted to help me with Ventana and get them out on tour on top of other numerous things he’s helping me with, I can say right now that he in no way has a ego and is honestly the most selfless person I know.
He’s always looking out for people best interest but he’s also running a business and these “tourist musicians” were not taking shit seriously and embarrassing his brand and he doesn’t have time to play around. Big things are happening and he doesn’t need that dead weight.

Eric Eicholz Jr. He has an unnecessary large chip on his shoulder for somebody who’s claim to fame is pushing buttons over back tracks. As an opening act he has been rude to me and my band several times, and a friend of mine who was asked to be the singer of Ventana a long time ago was treated very poorly by that camp. They have their own little circle of weirdness and they don’t let people in who they view as not worthy. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan, I really am, but on a working level can absolutely see why this is happening after involving that camp in the tour.
