A Killer’s Confession have returned with a new single and music video, unveiling “Roses” ahead of the release of their sixth studio album, ‘Victim 3’.
The Waylon Reavis-led alternative metal outfit’s latest track arrives through MNRK Heavy, with the accompanying video directed and produced by Dusten Boles. “Roses” takes a darker, introspective look at disappointment, feeling unappreciated and the realization that seeking recognition from others can ultimately be a losing battle.
Rather than looking for outside validation, “Roses” focuses on finding your own reasons for the decisions you make and being comfortable with those choices, even when the acknowledgment you hoped for never comes.
Reavis explained the inspiration behind the song:
“Roses was written from a point of view of where everything that you have done was in vain. We’ve all been to that point of feeling unappreciated, but I feel like roses is a statement of it doesn’t matter what you do as long as you and only you know why you did it. In the end, never look for a pat on the back, because you’ll never get the acknowledgment that you’re seeking. There will be no roses on my grave.”
“Roses” is featured on ‘Victim 3’, which is scheduled for release on November 13 via MNRK Heavy. The 11-track effort also includes the band’s recent stripped-back rendition of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” which offered a more subdued showcase for Reavis’ vocals.

The release of ‘Victim 3’ will come while A Killer’s Confession are out on their “Everything Comes Full Circle Tour.” The North American headline run features Dizasterpiece and Dead Things and begins November 4, with the band scheduled to be onstage in Louisville, KY on November 13 when the new album arrives.
